Microwave Door Glass Is Foggy

Microwave door glass is foggy.

The window in the door has become cloudy to the point of my having difficulty seeing inside the over when it is on. As a result moisture in the infiltrating air can condense when conditions are right colder outer glass against warm air inside the glass panel causing the glass to develop the hazy fogginess that most everyone has seen. There is a great potential for leakage here. Step 1 combine 2 cups water 2 cups white vinegar and 5 drops dish soap in a spray bottle.

The seal on the microwave door glass is compromised and allowing moisture and perhaps the microwaves to enter between the windows inner and outer. Wipe the moisture off with a paper towel or soft cloth. It develops when you boil water or heat food with a high moisture content on the stove top below the microwave. Even the most elastic flexible seal can t last forever.

It allows moisture into the area between the panes. Eventually a seal will allow moisture to enter the window. To keep the windows looking their best use a homemade cleaning solution that cleans the glass and removes the haze without chemicals or other harmful ingredients. This microwave has a major flaw in that it fogs up very quickly across the door viewing window.

Old age fig. The condensation gets between the two layers of door glass and condenses inside this make viewing the cooking food almost impossible. This is the simplest fix to the problem but it will only be temporary. Heat causes the panes to expand and contract and it softens and weakens the seals until they develop a crack in their armor and allow moist air in.

The fogginess may come and go depending on weather conditions. Therefore you will need to start out by drilling a hole in the gasket for the moisture to escape. I just installed a new kenmore elite advantium 120 microwave in oct of 2007. This occurred if using just the microwave or just the convection or both together.

Anybody know of any fixes. Can the door be taken apart or is it necessary to purchase an entire new door. I would not continue to operate this oven until i have it fixed. Remedy this issue by leaving the microwave door open for several minutes until the water evaporates completely.
